This young man wanted to incorporate several pieces of family jewellery into this surprise engagement ring, so a lot of history and emotion are woven into it.
He chose a pretty Edwardian style, the ring was handmade in the traditional method of that time.
The sapphires, from a brooch that was never completed, belonged to his future fiancee’s great grandmother.
Two gold rings, from the grandmother on the other side of the family, were melted together for the shank. A set of old cut diamonds was sourced to complement the cut of the sapphires, all are set in platinum.
